Dear Heavenly Father,
"You make everything glorious, and I am Yours. What does that make me?"
I thank You today, Lord, for a peaceful day to catch up on some things at school. I thank You for showing me today the progress many of my students have made, that I hadn't yet noticed because I was too busy worrying about them.
I pray for Susan's friend who recently had a breast biopsy, and is awaiting test results. Please bring peace to calm her fears, and surround her with Your love.
I lift up Susan's daughter, interviewing for a new job. May she feel Your constant guidance to help her find the right position in which she can best glorify You.
I ask for that same guidance for Stacey's fiancee, as he searches also.
Lord, please hold Dana's son in Your loving arms as he waits to find out the cause of his weakness and lethargy.
I want to remember Laura's mother as she prepares for her retirement. I pray that it will be a time for her to reap the rewards of her hard work up to this point.
Lord, make Your presence known to Theresa's daughter who is dealing with some big changes in her life right now. Comfort her, and let her know that You have provided the perfect family and friends to support her.
I lift up Dana's church, as they, as many churches do, face internal struggles and differences of opinion. May they always keep You in focus when deciding which path to take.
And of course, Lord, the people of Haiti are special to us. We pray that the lives that have been "lost" are not truly lost, but have been accepted into Your Kingdom, and that the survivors find peace and comfort in knowing You as their Almighty Father.
In Your Most Holy Name, Amen.
